This timeless oval Santa Maria Aquamarine, set with a micro pave diamond halo, is set in 14 karat white gold. This Aquamarine is set in a basket that allows light to come through the back illuminating this beautiful gem. This is a great everyday ring and easy to wear, as the stone does not sit high, and is a light blue, easy to match with most attire.
It was in the Santa Maria de Itabira mine in Menas Gerais, Brazil, where the original aquamarine gemstone possessing a unique deeply saturated blue hue was discovered. Thus, stones with such a color are now dubbed ‘Santa Maria,’ regardless of their origin.
This Aquamarine is from the Santa Maria Mine. This Aquamarine is 5.5×7.5mm and 0.82 carats. Diamond halo is 9.5x11mm and 0.23 carats.
